George HA capabilities

George HA uses the concept of Device Models built up from Capabilities that hide the complexity of working with devices from end-users.  In George HA a light is a light regardless of the underlying technology used to control the light. Users just need to know how to interact with George HA and not be worried about the underlying products controlling devices.  Keeps it simple and allows for flexibility.

Manually controlling devices is only part of George HA's power.  The ability to have devices respond to changes in the home environment is a key feature of our platform.  Automation can be accomplished  through a simple Scene that changes the state of a collection of devices simultaneously, or through scripting that can take actions based on a variety of events.  For example, you can create a simple scene that controls the state of lighting in your home when the sun rises and sets.   George HA calculates sunrise and sunset times for your location and automatically activates the related scenes.

Today's media centers, whole-home audio, and home theaters are complicated.  A multitude of components that need to be set "just right" to play a simple piece of media.  Imagine a scenario where you want to play a media item (MP3 or streaming media) in a room supported by your whole-home audio system.  George HA can make that somewhat complicated task simple. An end user simply selects the media and the location to play it. George HA does the rest.  It determines what device connected to your audio system is compatible with the selected media, configures it to play, tells your system to power-up and switch to the compatible source.  Voila your music starts playing!  

George HA is an intercom!  That's right, you can replace your old, clunky intercom system with a video intercom.

George HA has user interfaces for Windows and Android.  These apps automatically create widgets to control objects specified in the George HA Home hierarchy.   You don't like the layout?  That's okay, we've made API's available to allow home automation enthusiasts or integrators to develop their own custom user experience!

GHA has a built-in security system!  When combined with a compatible alarm panel like Konnected(tm) Alarm Panel Pro, GHA can monitor and raise alarms for a variety of situations.  To give you extra peace of mind, we've partnered with Noonlight to provide you with 24X7 professional security monitoring.
